Born and raised in the birthplace of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Professor Bob grew up training alongside some of the legends of the sport. A 5th Degree Black Belt under Ralph Gracie, he has trained and competed with some of the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners in the world.
When he's not coaching at Mission Jiu Jitsu Academy, Professor Bob continues to compete as a high-level black belt — including at the IBJJF World Master Championship in Las Vegas. A Jiu Jitsu instructor must constantly evolve, study and stay sharp to teach effectively, and that's exactly what he brings to every class.
Above all, Professor Bob is known by his students as friendly, patient and passionate — a teacher who truly enjoys helping every person on the mat reach their goals.
